Formalities to come to France (and the Schengen area) for foreign nationals
Because the meeting is a chemistry meeting therefore a "conference related to your professional activity", any person from outside the EU Schengen area, or countries part of the visa waiver system is required to be in possession of a valid short-stay visa to access the Schengen area.
It will allow you to visit France for the duration of your visit, which must not exceed 90 days.
